Philosophy is not science. The scientific method came from philosophy. Philosophy in of itself has a hard time finding truth, and even when it does, it requires evidence to back up it's claims.
But by itself, just like theology, it doesn't prove anything. It may come up with methods of finding truth, but that still requires evidence and testing, not just twisted logic statements.
