It is my prayer that my membership becomes a Blessing to the other members whom I'm sure shall be a Blessing to me as well.
“Bulldog” is a nickname. Some of you may “know” me from other forums where I’ve used that name.
I am the PROUD husband of my Beloved Prize, Help Meet, and Precious Gift from God.
I was raised in the Baptist doctrine and my Beloved was raised in an Assemblies of God family. We currently attend a Southern Baptist Church in Florida.
We have what modern society has labeled a "traditional" marriage based on the Word of God that we believe pleases and honors Him and He has GREATLY BLESSED our efforts in doing so. We deeply LOVE and CHERISH each other, keeping each other only second to God in our hearts being one person in Christ. We do not bicker, argue, nor fight NOR have REASON to which also displays to us that we are on the right track.
I believe that as a Christian husband, that I was commanded to lay down my own selfish desires when I said, "I do" fulfilling Ephesians 5:25-33 and to focus all the necessary resources provided to me by the Grace of God on the needs and desires placed on the hearts of my wife, children and grandchildren. Doing so has Blessed me with tremendous joy and satisfaction.
I don't concern myself with Ephesians 5:22-24 as I'm not a wife and have NEVER desired to have a husband. (The sweaty, burping, hairy, smelly gas passing beasts! LOL) Those Scriptures were written and are the concern of my wife and whether or not she abides by them (which she does, btw), I have no "out" not to abide by the instructions provided for husbands throughout God's Word.
I serve my family as their Spiritual leader and head of the household, striving to lead by example using the examples provided in Scriptures and placed on my heart by the Holy Spirit. I strive to FIRST do what is best for THIER own good (not mine) to protect and help them in their walks with Christ, which in our opinion, affects and is part of EVERYTHING that we do in this life. My Beloved submits to my God given authority and provides me with my most respected, honored and VALUED human counsel which I fully consider prior to making decisions concerning our family.
I will state my opinions/beliefs, but I DO realize that they are mine and that others may disagree. I will strive to not pass judgment on others walks with Christ.
I NEVER intend to insult nor degrade, but I have been known to playfully tease. So please, if I inadvertently offend someone, just let me know. I will apologize and attempt to explain myself if desired.
