Hey all,
I hope this isn't against the rules since I'm not charging money for it, but I wanted to let you all know that I wrote and published a Christian YA ebook called Building Blocks. It's available on for free on Smashwords at the moment, which gives you the choice of just about any ereader format you'd like.
Here's the link, in case anyone is interested.
Building Blocks on Smashwords
I know a lot of people are against self-published books because the general consensus amongst the literary crowd is "If it's good, a traditional publisher will publish it." But the number of garbage novels being released by traditional publishers continues to rise (Snooki wrote a book? Really!?) while I've read several independently published books that were quite enjoyable. And with the rise of ebooks putting product control/content/placement back into the author's hands, many talented writers are forgoing the "traditional" route not because they can't get traditionally published but because they'd prefer not to be.
I don't say all this to try to convince you that my books are the greatest you'll ever read - I've got a lot to learn and I admit it. But I also have a lot of great reviews from other readers under my belt, so someone somewhere likes what I'm doing.
Anyway, the book is free for download and will remain that way. And even if you don't have an ereader, it can be downloaded in HTML and PDF formats for PC reading.
Thanks for clicking this thread, and God bless you all.
Kevin
