I SO want to see that movie! All my friends have seen it and said it was hilarious. I asked them if it had any blaspheme in it and they said no. And since I trust my friends as they are strong believers I definetely want to see it!

I must say I was impressed. I thought it had a good message, by secular films's standards!
Shame about some of the language, but nowadays you just have to tune your ears out to that.

I thought the movie was hilarious. I too thought that there were some pretty unlikely things that happened and were said in the movie, but I thought it was funny nonetheless.

I saw this film yesterday - I expected it to be funny but i also expected it to kinda take the mick of God and everything. I was pleasently surprised in that actually it's pretty respectful, and some of the subtle jokes you'd only really get if you knew a bit about christianity and the bible. So i enjoyed it very much!

I enjoyed it very much, it had a really good message. Bruce does some things that God would never do, but then also reaps the consequences, like when he pulls the moon closer to romance his g/f, he ends up causing a tidal wave in asia....makes you think about cause and effect. I liked it a lot!

Did yous no that it was banned in banned somewhere I think Indonesia or Malaysia, cuz they thought it was blasphemy. I couldn't agree more. No one should try or pretend to be God because no one is as holy and as great as HE is.

I loved it. I was afraid I'd be offended, but I was very pleased that they portrayed prayer in a positive light and that Bruce fell to his knees and admitted he needed God's help.

Like the person said in an earlier post, it was good for hollywood standards. I found it to be somewhat biblically correct in some areas, then way off in others. They kind of made God a generic, all religions god, with a reference to Ghandi, but then in one part when Jim Carrey was just about to say the Lords name in vain, he clasped his hands over his mouth mid-way through in a gesture that would suggest Christ as God. I was also afraid that it would be blasphemous, but who can blame me, in todays social climate?
Jim Carrey is a guy that you know what your gonna get in one of his movies. There will be at least a tad of vulgarity, but he will split your sides with laughter. My opinion is that there is nobody funnier out there. Only Jim can make me give out a true belly laugh with merely a facial expression. I do recommend anyone see it. Adults only cause there is sexual innuendos, but nothing like your average hollywood flick. Very funny

i loved the movie. i laughed so hard i cried. yes, bruce did things that God wouldn't, like the skirt thing, but doesn't that just go to show how great God is and how no human could compare? I think it just portrays that God knows best, and no man could replace him

I haven't seen the movie. Commercial is enoght for my wife and I made a decision not to watch it. I didn't really liked it what they have put God into. In the Bible said that Jesus was tempted in everything exept for the sin and then Jesus also said that even think about adultery is sin. And here you go - flying skurts. That's was enohgt for us. I just don't want to plant any seed of doubts about my Creator in my heart. Evil is evil. He's using everything.

I think what most people misunderstand is that Jim Carry's character wasnt God. He was a human with Gods powers and he did exactly what most humans would do if we had Gods powers. In the end he realized that there are consequences for abusing the powers of God and that you have to be responsible in using them.
I think that the message is great. Especially in a world where everyone wants to be there own God and wants to have everything thier evil desires crave. There are consequences to our actions and there are reasons that God doesnt answer every prayer and I think that the movie helps make those points very clear.

I'm actually watching it as I type, and I agree that it is a good movie with great messages. Yeah, it took plenty of creative license with God, but think about what it's teaching:
You can't make someone love you, and God can't make anyone love Him.
God doesn't give us everything we pray for because He is looking out for our best interests in the long run.
We are not God. God is God.

yeah i was supprised when i watched it

it shows gods love and how he dosent get annoyed with all those prayers! it shows how powerful he is and how he can listen to them all!
he dosent just press the send to all key and enter in YES he is an understanding god
