Let's not. God says what He intends to say. Your additions to what He says about Christians being the salt of the earth aren't needed.
Again, I'm not confused by it. Based on your statements, you sound like it's you who are confusing the two.
Common sense says if you are Zaac you should follow the bible as god will smite you if you don't. Not having commen sense would mean Zaac believes in the bible but he is going to become jewish anyway.
So Zaac, I'm confused; which one are you again?
Also the ible can be interpreted differently. For instance jesus was a poet, you heard that.. ..A POET and with every peice of poetry it can be translated into a thousand different messages.
And people who are sinners or heathens are not angry at the fact that you are preaching the truth. They are angry that you consistently slander their religons and call them false.
I know I am classed as a sinner, I don't believe in your god, so therefore the only thing I am offended by is your blatant disregard for other peoples beliefs.
How do we know that your interpretation of the Bible is correct versus that of Maneki's or Eve's?
OK, next question (only because I don't feel like arguing that any statement is open to different interpretations)When I give you an interpretation of the Bible, I'll let you know.
Eve's assessment is aligned with God's Word. It just leaves out that there is more to God than the feel good stuff that some people only want mentioned. That's not the Good News. That's what we "think" is good news" because it all sounds good.
God's wrath and His love are inseparable.
God's Holy wrath that goes with His Holy Love is Good News. Some don't think so because they associate wrath with negativity.
But you can't understand His love without understanding His wrath against sin.
Without any interpreting additions on your part "salt of the earth" is meaningless and certainly not the positive statement you want it to be.Let's not. God says what He intends to say. Your additions to what He says about Christians being the salt of the earth aren't needed.
When I give you an interpretation of the Bible, I'll let you know.
*grimaces at his communicator and bellows into it*How's the Wrath of Khan coming?
I haven't had as much as a papercut.
Who is the WE? Are you planning to blow stuff up in the name of Jesus?
Have a band-aid.
