I noticed that they predicted the lowest pressure in the Hurricane will be 918 Mb. (Normal pressure is 1013 Mb.) I wondered how that compared with Lows we get in the UK. It seems the lowest barometric pressure ever recorded in the UK was in 1884, in Pertshire (Scotland) 925.6. A slightly higher value was recorded in Aberdeen, just tweny miles from my home. (I hasten to point out that I was not on hand to validate the reading.)

I thought Perthshire was part of the Highlands
