well...I think God's telling me i should have a final "closure" talk. if it doesnt go well...i'm gonna let it go. please pray for the outcome to be God's will. and for my strength to seek Him after...I feel empty...but i know God has to break you completely before He rebuilds you again...

Oh, okay, I found your original thread. As you had stated in your remarks, you come into play as the primary reason for your hurt and pain. I had an ungodly relationship with a woman for 2 years and God brought me to a place where he revealed to me than I held her and all my relationships with the women in my life higher than my relationship with Him. I looked it up in His word and He calls it idolatry. He saved you and He will not allow you to put anyone above Him because He truly loves you, as you know. You must counsel with Godly men in your church, for that is what the Body of Christ is for. This is a time of correction, but done in love. He told me in April of this year, do you like the hurt and pain and causing hurt and pain? I said no Lord, of course not! He said simply "Stop right where you are and read Psalm 51".

thank you. idoltry is something i realized too. i did put her first before God. problem is, i dont really have a home church and so i dont have any christian friends or family to pray for me or even talk about this where i can get Godly advice. that is why i came to these forums, in hopes to receive prayer. thank you for yours. do you have any other advice for me? Did God restore your relationship? Do u believe God is willing to restore our relationships after we repent?

God only restores relationships when it is his will even if you've repented it doesn't necessarily mean that God will restore this relationship. I'm sorry you are feeling so empty, but Satan is the reason for sadness and emptiness. God will pull you from this difficult situation, but you probably need to have this closure talk, go your separate ways for a while and see what happens.
It's easier said than done, but if God is speaking to you then it's best to do what he is telling you.
I pray that you come here often for prayers and support if you don't have a church or Christian people around you. I know I find comfort here.

Thank you for the wisdom of your input. You are right! He will have to let go of the past and reach for the prize before him. I hoped for reconciliation in my relationship at first and then God pointed out that I, me, and my selfishness should have no part in wondering about past relationships. My focus should be on Him and what I can do through Him and in Him. Praise God! reconciliation, you need to fellowship with His people face to face too!
Pray that the Lord lead you to the place you should be.
