Quick heads up to all you British Catholics out there, and especially those who get a copy of the weekly(?) paper Catholic Times.

On the front page of the 13th February issue (still the current edition if it is indeed weekly) there was an article called 'Homily thoughts' (or something close to that). It was about Elisha healing Naaman of leprosy and comparing that to Jesus healing the man of leprosy. A very good article which I would like to have a copy of to keep (an possibly use as part of a sermon next time I'm press ganged into preaching at the Salvation Army)

So, has anyone got a copy of The (UK) Catholic Times from 13th February 2015? Would you be prepared to cut out and post/copy and post/scan to e mail the article to me? Pleeeeease.

Would, of course, be happy to cover any postage costs involved, but hoping someone can scan and e mail it to me :)

Thankee folks :)

Many thanks to both of you :)

In case you were wondering how I came to be perusing the Catholic Times....I was in Chester on Monday (en route back from a weekend in Wales) and there is a Catholic church in the city centre who have a cafe open during the day. Rather than support a tax dodging multinational chain, we popped in for a cuppa, and there was a copy of the paper on one of the tables, so picked it up for a read with my tea :) (very good tea btw...and as a Salvationist I have the bar set high on that score).

I've had no answer yet - so fingers definitely need to be crossed .

I have to say I was a trifle surprised at a SA man reading the Catholic Times

However your explanation makes perfect sense :)

Have you tried the online version ?

Catholic Universe? Yes, I looked at it online.

I can't get to grips with e newspapers though. I can read books on kindle without problem, but I like the idea of a physical paper i can relax with over a brew.

I could subscribe and have it delivered, but although it's a good paper and I'd like to read more of it, at fifty seven quid a year, it's not the cheapest out there (War Cry will cost you a tenner...just sayin' ;)).

So, as a thrifty Yorkshireman, I shall scout round locally, and look for a Catholic who buys it and who would like to swap at the end of the week for a pre read copy of the War Cry and the Salvationist :) The local Churches Together should be a good starting point.

Strangely enough - try your local library you might be lucky

Aye, I'll give that a try, although ideally I want a copy I can cut bits out of, and libraries are funny in that way:D

This is true, they might do that. Problem is I'd have to sit in the library to read it in the first place, and I'd rather do that at home with my feet up :)

Once I'm slightly less broke (just had to replace my car) I might see if my local newsagent can order it in for me.
