I have been in Canberra (and also Yass) since I was 7 yo. Wow, 20 years!

Telecom tower, is now Telstra tower and yes, it is lovely. My husband proposed to me up there. We also went to the restaurant up there for our first wedding anniversary.

The spelling is Queanbeyan.

Hi'
I live at Kilcoy, the most northeastern town of Brisbane and next to Lake Somerset the water supply for Brissie.
Last time I visited Queanbeyan the river was nearly flooding the Caravan park across from the newly rebuilt RSL when the rains stopped just in time. I also use to live on the Captains Flat road just before Falkners if anyone knows where that is.
Use to play soccer for the ANU in my younger days when I worked in the nearby Canberra Hospital before they blew it up. Has it been rebuilt? Any one know?

My youngest brother was born in the Royal Canberra Hospital. The Royal Canberra hospital hasn't been rebuilt. There is a museum there now. It has got the most revolting looking sculpture out the front. The museum is alright though. Plenty of interesting things to look at. It is mostly Australian stuff.

The Woden Hospital is now referred to as The Canberra Hospital.

Did you say a revolting looking sculpture? So that's what it is!! I often wondered if it was mean't to be there.
Have you been there? I like the kids' cubby house, which is like a treehouse and there are all these puzzles and activities for primary school kids to do.

HI Kira,

Which uni do you study at? I'm a QUT IT graduate, I graduated 2,5 years ago. :D

My main instrument that I usually play is electric guitar and bass (I love doing praise and worship in a rock atmosphere, Hillsongs' Youth Alive Albums are my favorite). I also play drum (still need a lot of practise though).

Sport? Umm, the one I like the most is soccer. Soccer, and soccerrr, hehehe. I love doing bodybuilding as well, I used to do a lot of work out when I was studying at QUT (a lot of times, I skipped boring lectures by going to the gym instead of the lecture room :p )

How bout yourself kira faye? Which church do you go to? What music instrument do you play? Do you like playing soccer?
I noticed your status (blessings, reputation, posts, etc) that you've been in this forum for quite a while, while I'm still a newbie here, look at the number of my posts. :D

Cheers,
Irwin

Me, science student. I play a variety of instruments. I play piano sing, play flute and piccolo in my orchestra, and have a guitar hiding somewhere. In my highschool band we ran off with each others intruments so I can play sax and calrinet to a small degree! I'm nto much of a sport person, I like netball and horse riding, but I LOVE dancing. When I find a good place I'm taking tango and salsa.

I don't go to church cause I'm wiccan and I don't have a coven either.

Yeah I have been here for awhile, u'll probably catch up soon enough.

Hi,

I'm from Brisbane, based up on the Northside. Used to like the Valley, but I prefer more elitist company these days.

I also play keyboards, guitar and wrote some songs for a local band I was trying to set up but fell apart just as we were about to get somewhere.

I used to like the Big Pineapple, Lone Pine, and the QSM. These days I prefer to go to Wynnum and enjoy drives up to Mt. Glorious and Mt. Nebo. Silence and solitude are my subliminal friends for the most part.....aaaah..

:prayer:

Me: Brisbane...south-west. I've been to the 'valley" Some 'valley'!! People are always going on about how New Farm and spring hill and the Valley are sleazy places, but there aren't really that bad.

Since we are all discussing what instruments we play..I played the clainet for a few years, and I know how to play the piano, and the Guitar, but it's been a while, and I've probably forgotten how to play all these instruments

Such is life.
