  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Bringing God back

Hi all , I haven't posted in a while and Iam here today to ask for tips and ideas on how to bring God back to my relationship with my b/f.

I've been with my b/f for 10 months now and we are very serious about each other. We've talked about future together and we are blessed to have a good relationship even though it could be tough at times because of the distance. We are in Long Distance Relationship and it makes it harder to find ways to do things together, specially when it comes to bring God back in our relationship. What some things we can do together? any ideas that would help us to make time for God?

I would love to make God the base of our relationship , because lately we sensed the emptiness without him.

Welcome to the world of LDR's.
Fun stuff :)

Email each other daily (or weekly or whatever you decide) to share what God's done in your life so far.
Pick a verse of the day/week and reflect on it. Jot down things that God shows you throughout the week and talk about them on the phone.
Go through a devo together (read the same chapter every day and talk about your thoughts on that chapter).
End every phone convo with prayer.
