  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

At present there are significantly more voters with attachment to the Democratic Party than to the Republican Party

So the big question is how to maintain the balance to keep the public enthralled, interested, and waiting in hope that next time it will be their turn

and that the public will finally get what we want.

To maintain the balance in 2020 the owners of the parties have to pick a particularly weak candidate this time, one that won't give the public what they want, with all the disrespect for women the RNC choice has, who wants 10% more funding for the military just like the RNC wants, and a huge shortage of brain power.

They've achieved a fine balance, hard to tell which way it will go,

but... neither candidate holds much promise for the future

so... most of us could go third party, and if we all went with Bernie, he could stand up to the DNC and start speaking his mind like he did early in 2016,

and get us an economic structure like Germany or Holland - the first and fourth highest balance of payments surplus countries in the World - AND without the dang EU which they still can't get to work.

We really need to do something about our trade loss, it's been enormous since mid 1982.
Here's the most recent figures I could find, two very right wing neo-liberal economies; Britain and the US as usual at the very bottom. Neither economy
can continue as it is for much longer.

What makes you come to that conclusion?

We’re not in a mercantile-economy anymore, we’re off “the gold standard” (thank teh gods and Richard Millhouse Nixon!).
Dollars abroad is “good”, we make them, they “buy them” with stuff. They’re WORTHLESS, but we get THE STUFF!

How do you not get that?
