Do you suddenly feel that all of us have become liberal?

All the drama recently brought people to us, and a couple of them were surprised at what they saw and now are genuinely - I believe - wondering whether they couldn't have a home here, after all.

You know what this place is like. We're all drawn to drama. Things will settle again and most WWMCers will return to WWMC. But the few that do fellowship here, they don't do so to cause trouble.

And even if they did, this forum has 8 conservative mods and 160 conservative members. And, most importantly, this forum has God.

Oh, don't get me wrong. We have a couple of people at the moment who are trying to stir things up, and that's sucky. But neither of them are thinking of joining. They're not even fellowshipping. They're simply trying to mix it up, and if we ignore them, they'll leave.

But this is the conservative forum, and it will always be the conservative forum. Nothing will make this forum compromise that.

For quite a while, I have been a poster at OBOB. I have been very impressed with the moderation there. The attitude of the mods has been shepherds protecting the flock. And because of that attitude, OBOB is a safe place for Catholic members.

I can only wish CC might one day be like that. It is not like that now. Anyone can come in here and trash the members at will.

Actually, Freitag has always been theologically conservative. Have always known that. She made her home at WWMC early on cos CC didn't exist, and cos she thought all conservative Christians would judge her terribly.

And Mac vouches for Belinda's theology, and Mac is very conservative.

Those are the only 2. Bear in mind, they both spent time here because of all the discussions about Refuge. Before then, they didn't really have a reason to be here. CC *is* a special forum, very supportive and close and loving: is it so hard to believe that we showed them that CC isn't what they thought?

I too made my home at WWMC early on cos CC didn't exist. I never was liberal, I just liked the people there and the place felt welcoming and comfy. I still like them, and they still like me. When I had to quit, Rochir made me an "honorary non-voting member" which doesn't mean much, but I appreciate the thought. That doesn't mean I agree with them on very much.

I'm here instead of there because it's CC that I agree with on theology and doctrine, and usually on politics when that comes up. But I got to say, so far as being welcoming and comfy, we could learn a lot from WWMC.

Again, if you feel we're somehow going wrong as mods, you need to use the feedback buttons. If we're going wrong, we'll be reprimanded for it.
