Break Dancing

I have recently started break dancing, and have realised just how hard it is. Does anyone have any dance moves they could describe to me so i can try and learn them, or any tips?
Do any of you break dance? Hope some of you do because i do and i know its really fun.

I call it the walk, you put one leg in front of the other, left right is the usual fashion and you must remember to stay balanced and make sure you legs dont cross each other or you might fall.

But serriously, I got nothing you know way more than me.

lol i meant moves that are actual break dancing moves. I have learnt to walk (although that one took some practise). Other than that i can do the worm and Spider but my spider isnt very good.

I think break dancing is so fun. My family taught me kinda how to do it when i was younger. I can do the walk. I call it the crip walk. i love doing it!

i used to breakdance for about three years. i still kind of do, when occasion calls. it's really cool that you started up. if there is one thing that i would suggest, it would be to watch karate kid. mr. myagi taught daniel, learning from a computer is like learning from a book. it's never going to be what you need. if you are really interested in learning, i suggest you find one other person who is, and find a school around an inner city. there should be one depending on where you live. otherwise, there are videos that you can buy online that can teach you. me however, i learned from watching music videos and videos online. though i would warn about videos online, they are kind of spoilers. just keep to the basics, i suggest the six-step to you. you need to watch a video in order to get the idea of it. other than that, it is always about the music and keeping in the groove. breakdancing is for soul not for show!!

Heya!

I have been into bboying for about 2years, I would also suggest to start with the six-step!

It is a basic move and you can use to combine different other moves...

Do a search on google for "breakdance machine" its a kewl program that shows you the basic moves in a sort of "flash" like way, you have the possibility to slow down the "movie" so you can see each step!

Also watch loads of bboy-clips so you get the idea and can see which way you can go

A tipractice, practice and practice again!

For more info take a look a bboy.org's forum, they have good guides and help for both beginners and advanced users!

Remember, you gotta finally develop your own style, it's gotta flow, you got to feel it with the music!

my bf dev has some moves although i find it silly stuff he goes right into it.makes me laugh.guess it's harder than it looks but i still laugh,i dont know why someone would want to move their body around on the floor.

I've tried break dancing classes, yes its hard. Try a couple of Freezes, I almost broke my neck lol

If you don't know how to do it, lay on the floor and push your upper body up with your arms, then make your legs follow. Umm...See if you can make a wave with your body, like a Mexican wave sorta.
