  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Greetings Christian Forums. I am brand new here. Never seen this website before. If I have I don't recall it. Ran across it this morning and thought I'd join and see if I could find interesting conversations with spiritual minded people. I love people of all sorts and respect beliefs of all sorts. There is no doubt in my mind that the Bible is the inspired word of God and am willing to gently and mildly persaude others who are not of that persuasion. Knowing at the same time that it is wrong to debate and argue about God's word. I do not like debating or arguing about anything. Everyone has the right to their own viewpoints and beliefs. And these change over the course of time, and even those who have the understanding of truth also widen their perspective through time and experience. We are all on a journey through this life, and the best thing we can do is give thanks to God for life and for the hope he has kindly given to us of the life everlasting which is free to all who listen to the bride who is saying "Come! Drink life's water free!"

If there are any tips or things I need to know please feel free to let me know.
