  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There are always things to do. Sometimes I get bored, but it's not because I don't have things to do. I just get bored having to do homework, etc. That is easily fixed. There are so many things to do. Spend time with my bf, read, come ot Christian forums, email people, watch something on TV (if anything is good on), take a bubble bath...Right now I don't have time to be bored with classes and work and homework........I need more time to be bored so I can do what I want!

Christians can do most of the same things as "normal" people do when they are bored....

I get on CF, I read, I clean the house, do some cooking, practice my music....the list goes on.....

I read and surf the net and read... and read... and pray and talk and cross stitch and cachet and watch t.v. and go for a walk... do house work. I don't get bored too often... and when I get bored enough to do housework.... that is not good...lol

when I'm bored. I try to limit games (xbox, PC games, etc), TV, internet, and anything else that isn't really productive when I have free time. Life is so much richer without those things!

My suggestion: Find something new to do. This may seem impossible at the time, but there is always something new to do. The other day I was sitting with some friends for about two hours, discussing how bored we were. Then we suddenly decided to go and try to find some hot springs that someone had heard about from someone. While we were up there, it started snowing. It was probably one of the nicest evenings ever. So you never know.
