Bored at work

I work in the emergency department at the hospital and have “door duty” tonight. Very bored. My job is to screen everybody coming in for Covid symptoms. 12 hours of this would make anybody go crazy! Usually not terrible when it’s busy because the time goes by quickly, but things are very slow tonight. Probably shouldn’t say that because it’ll go crazy in a minute. Trying to read but just not feeling it tonight. Ready to go home, but have 4 more hours.

I did not. I kept it to myself. I don’t want it to be busy because it means people are sick and hurt, but I need something to do.
