Authorities were on patrol when they were "rammed by 10 cars," according to a statement from the Department of Homeland Security. These are actions that you might expect to see in Columbia or Venezuela. Not in the US.
ICE can't work with them because CPD are under orders from the mayor not to assist federal authorities, I haven't seen anything to suggest the federal authorities have been disrespectful to the local PD.If ICE keeps doing raids on building where they cuff everyone and then decide who they are bringing in, I don't blame the CPD for not showing up.
Treating locals this way is not a good image. If ICE wants CPD help, maybe they should work with them instead of treating them as lower than them.

But detaining US citizens for unreasonable amounts of time, seizing property without leaving a receipt and making a mess of everything are abuses of power if true and I’m sure there are lawyers waiting in line to take civil action on behalf of these people.
If they really are as reckless as is being claimed it will catch up with them.

So, the ends justify the means? Where is this ending? Are we changing any criminal hearts or creating havoc where more and more will not support the police? Perhaps we can be so extreme that civil war is coming? In my opinion the Federal government is overreaching. Using current laws with false pretenses and pushing the envelope. If the Feds would do their homework better they would not be making so many mistakes and causing so much turmoil. That there is an ICE quota makes it hard to do this.
