Sure did...quoted you the entire time.
You quoted a fraction of what I said and did so intentionally out of context from the rest of what I said. If you can't argue in good faith there's no point.

I didn't cut out anything relevant to the question I asked.

Spare me your good faith nonsense....you got called out on a bad point and you don't like it.

You quoted the sentences witout the context of other sentences that provided the context and you did so intentionally. You don't argue in good faith.

As for what you think was "a bad point" that I got called out on", i.e. what did Syria give my grandparents, that's the only easy one to answer and it's not a bad point - they provided them with food, housing, clothing, and even jobs, AND citizenship. So don't talk about things of which you have no clue, it just shines a spotlight on your lack of knowledge.

Syria from 100 years ago puts the modern USA to shame on the moral basis of humanitarian assistance to refugees and asylum seekers.

Yep just like the wait in Mexico policy that was in place. But since that policy was done away with, All I got was current policy and didn't know a thing of what I was talking about.

They were given asylum without all the treacherous journey. Slowing down, or stopping the the rewards for human trafficking. While at the same time those whom truly needed asylum got it.

LOL, have you looked at Syrian law? It is a U.N. thing. The U.S. Finances that more than many other nations.
Copied and pasted from the syrian notes site on Asylum law.

"Around the world, 148 countries have signed up to the United Nations Refugee Convention of 1951, as amended in 1967."

Who were the originators to make this possible?

"The origins of the Convention are to be found in the Second World War, and the founding of the United Nations in 1945 by the victors of that war, the US, the UK, Russia, China, and France."

It began as a European thing of sharing the burden.

"refugees of European origin in the war’s aftermath, and the UN recognised that their reception and resettlement required a sharing of the burden according to a mutually agreed set of guaranteed rights for the refugees".

Expands to other peoples, again that basic human rights thing being implementd

"That agreement, which was expanded in 1967 to include all refugees and not just those from post-war Europe, has largely held, despite the cracks appearing in the authority of the UN in recent years. It is not always, however, respected in practice".

And who's money and efforts helped to create this (ie U.N.) Yep Americans. Our tax dollars a great contributor. So you and I have helped these people. And more than likely helped get that family here. I am glad they made it. They must have qualified. So who is yelling shame to Americans? WOW

There's no factual basis for anything you're claiming in your post. Asylum is not granted to someone who is not already in the country, right off the bat. The rest just sounds like speculation and opinion based on a political agenda. Feel free to provide evidence that proves any of it, but it's just not out there.

No they didn't...the Syrian government didn't give any of those things to illegal immigrants.

It doesn't do that now (currently, they kick you out of the country, and bar you from work at a minimum) and I've found nothing that remotely suggests they did anything differently 100 years ago.

Syria from 100 years ago puts the modern USA to shame on the moral basis of humanitarian assistance to refugees and asylum seekers.

No....it doesn't.

Is Syria taking in tens of thousands of refugees from Afghanistan, or countless millions from Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala? Did they just take in 12,000 more from Haiti, even after the government telling the American public they had all been sent back to Haiti?

China as you know is really into high speed rail.
Roads are jammed with cars, and air travel is growing,
fastest in the world.

As for more immigrants to the USA, Americans are the
most environmentally destructive on earth. Newcomers cannot
be expected notvto take part.

China is the most environmentally destructive on earth. If air travel is growing as fast as you laim (fastest in the world) that means they are increasing in their destruction of the environment. And this is just what we know aout China - their government is not transparent about their environmental destruction, just as they're not transparent about things like human organ harvesting and prisoner slave labor and genocide of minorities.

It's terrifically helpful to know what you
are talking about* and to attempt to stay
on topic. Which does not include "organ harvest",
but does include the effects of immigration to
the USA.
It is wildly inconsistent to be all about both
open immigration and being environmentally woke.

I don't know what they're doing right now - I don't think anyone would be fleeing TO Syria right now. I know they are taking in Yazidis and Kurds who are being targeted by Turks and ISIS and Al Qaeda and they are still fighting Turkey/ISIS/USA/Al Qaeda. I doubt anyone else wants to flee TO Syria considering it's not an easy place to live right now. I'm rather certain people from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, and Haiti can't get there.

Did you really think that Syria was an option as a refuge for people halfway across the globe? Or is this just a matter of geography where you didn't know where all the countries you mentioned are? Syria is far, far away from Central America and the Caribbean. Check on a globe or Google Maps and you'll see I'm right about that.

What I do know is that 100 years ago, Syria was a fledgling nation essentially under French protection and didn't have much. Their biggest city, Aleppo, was a majority Muslim, but took in so many Armenians within several years to the point that the city became majority Christian. Can you imagine the US or even one US City taking in refugees from a Muslim nation to the point that they become the majority in that city? Yet we're always told that Muslims are intolerant and that we as Americans "help" people. We Americans help ourselves, not anybody else. If we help anyone else it's only if there's something in it for us. Syria puts the US to shame in humanitarian treatment of immigrants, for 100 years.

And by the way, the US has flown back al the refugees from Haiti despite having promised them that the US would be a refuge for them after the hurricane. It's all for show and when there's nobody looking anymore we kick these people right back to where they came from. We don't help them.

Yes, it's terifically helpful to know what you are talking about:

The organ harvesting is just another area of China's damage to our world

I said that Americans are the most destructive.
So adding more Americans is incompatible with
being environmentally woke. The point of my post,
which is still being sidestepped.

CO2 is far from the only environmental harm from
American economic gluttony.

In the event, Americans contribute more than twice as much CO2
PER CAPITA than Chinese., so your "know what you are
talking about" meaningless / deliberately misleading.

Who's gonna fill these jobs?
Employers are eager to hire more immigrants, if only there were enough visas to go around.

China is building coal fired power plants about as fast as they can, while the coal plants in America are being shut down and causing prices to skyrocket. Our natural gas costs are already up 187% this year alone.
It looks like we're being more "environmentally woke", and it's going to ruin us economically.

I don't go to Beijing!

Mostly the air quality here is pretty good but
I sometimes think of the gloriously clean clear
air, when I stayed at a Wyoming ranch for a month.

Cool nights, so many stars!
Who knew?

Oh and the water, too. Cold cold from the well,
so Good!

So many people have never had clean safe air, or
a drink of cold clean water in their lives.
