Bio / History:
Borach’s father, Mikla Novina, was a Navaldyan merchant who made his wealth in trading spices with all different peoples. His mother, Nora, was the daughter of a Barakahim ship maker and fell in love with Mikla when he was buying a new ship from Nora’s father. It was a strong relationship in troubled times. Many people didn’t approve of the relationship and so the Novina family moved far from people that knew them.
Nora gave birth to her son on a stormy night aboard the Novina’s ship, the StormBreaker. She named her son Borach, Barakahim for “storm.” He grew up among the controversy of his family and the shunning by most of society as an outcast and half-breed. This caused Borach to become very cold and hard to get close to. However he was raised with a very noble father who taught him etiquette and manners, showing in his chivalric manner.
When Borach was 18 his father left him in charge of the landside business and left for a spice run. A “freak” storm came up and overturned the StormBreaker, presumably killing his parents who were left at sea. Given to chance to take over the family business, Borach decided to sell the business and buy his own ship, the Phoenix. This new boat has carried Borach to adventure as he has become a mercenary, selling his services as warrior, sailor and captain.
