Books on Submission

If anyone has read my past posts you would know that I usually come at the subject of submission with passionate hate. I have recently begun to embrace the subject with an open heart and wanted to find good books on the subject. I looked online but there was so many books on the subject that I did not know where to start .

I don't know a book off the top of my head, but there's a great Bible study for couples, it really puts submission into a different light, By Bruce Wilkenson (he did the prayer of Jabez) and his wife Darlene It's called the heart that makes the home, you can get it on audio too

it is great at illustating the conscept and emphasizes that we are made equal in the eyes of God, well, I could go on but listening to the study can explain it better then I can i na little thread

I believe in mutually submitting to one another.

Using Christianity as a way to rule over someone else is suspect.

This is such wonderful news! I'm really pleased for you, and of course your lucky husband-to-be!

Unfortunately I don't know of any books on the subject as I'm from a community where submission isn't really a thing that people choose or have to learn, it's in the culture and rules of our Church.

Anyway, I hope now you're open to the possibility of submitting to your husband as the Lord commends us to do, you will find out more about this way of life and realise it's God's plan for us for some very good reasons.

I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris is a must-read. It talks about how to prepare yourself for your future spouse and gives a lecture on not dating anyone whom you are not going to commit to.

I have just finished reading the most wonderful book!!!!

"The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" By Dr Laura Schlessinger

Although it isn't entirely about submission, it definately mentions the topic (as well as: being too busy for hubby, nagging him, his emotions, communicating, sex, respecting him and 'guy time') and it's given me so much to think about!!!!

I totally recommend it!!!!
