Bonzai kittten

Bonzai kittens are a new thing in the middle eastern areas. If you could picturise the bonzai trees. You could start to get the idea. In this new project, kittens that are only a few weeks old are placed into vessels and kept in there to grow and be molded to the shape of their containment. As they are just kittens and are still growing, their bones are flexible and their theory is to confine a kitten in a lovable shape and wait till their body is moulded to your specifications. The kitten is fed by a tube till they are fully grown (around 12 months) and its anus is superglued before they are inserted and a tube is placed in the other hole. Their belief is that the kitten's body will find another way to get rid of its waste and will naturally go through the single hole after some persuaion.

What is this world coming to? In my opinion this is a major situation of animal cruelty. The website provided below that is promoting this project, has been banned once before,. But is now allowed back on. If you would like to find more information, click on the website reference. But what do you think so far? Is this acceptable? Is this inhumane? Or is this just another breakthrough in science? Its your call.

It is just a hoax, and is now an urban legend. So, don't worry, there is no instance of animal cruelty, but instead, bad taste.

Just as an fyi, in Egypt as least, cats are like rabbits or squirrels in North America. They're everywhere, and very few people keep them as pets, at least among the lower and middle classes.

My husband and I did adopt a little street kitty who got all our scraps though. Don't have a picture of him handy thought. It was difficult for me as a cat lover to live in Cairo, because almost everyday, as I walked down the street I would come across a litter of kittens. They were soooooooooooo adorable, and I wanted to take each and everyone of them home.

I do agree that this is sick! I recieved it in my email a few years ago and I was HIGHLY upset. I contacted the ASPCA. Thankfully they responded to me and informed me that it was in fact a hoax.
