I have repeatedly found that many times the critics in a desperate bid to maintain their claims against Ellen G. White and the SDA church bring up wild accusations about Fannie Bolton. Unfortunately, all they tend to do is to repeat what others have told them, or what they saw some place on the web -- they just don't realize that hearsay and gossip are not the same as actual evidence, they're kind of like Geraldo Riveria and are quite happy to speculate on the assumptions as if they were dealing with the issue. They have not looked at actual source documents, nor have they analyzed the claims to see what evidence is produced to support the claims (usually it is completely non-existant). While this subject is not relevant to what I have been working on I have accumulated some information about the subject.

http://www.andrews.edu/~fortind/EGWVegetarianism.htm -- reveals that a letter written by F.B. was “a lie of the first order”.

Then there's the claim that it was Fannie Bolton who wrote Step to Christ:

"This charge was first circulated in 1932, six years after Fannie Bolton died, by critics of Ellen White:
"Just recently we received the best of evidence that Fannie Bolton wrote Steps to Christ without any dictation of assistance from Mrs. White whatever. It was her product in toto, but was published as Mrs. White’s production" (The Gathering Call, September, 1932, 20-21)."

The problem here is that some of Steps to Christ had been written by Ellen G. White prior to Fannie Bolton even being born! Compare 1T 159-60, 163 (printed in 1857, 2 years before F.B was born) with Steps to Christ page 58, 45-6, 35.
