  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi all.

I figure I should give a short testimony.
I'm from south central PA and in my early 70s.
I have been a "bench warmer" in church for way too many years. And accepted Jesus as my Savior mainly as a "fire escape".
I let work and personal pursuits keep me from a daily relationship with God.
In last third of 2011 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. That was a crisis that forced me to think of my poor relationship with God. I realized i needed a daily relationship.
I have since learned much about Jesus' atonement for Salvation and healing.
I now desire to be a much better Christian because I love God, Who first loved me. My purpose in life now is to point people to Jesus as God gives me that opportunity.
As I write this, I'm in Houston TX recovering from a 12 hour operation that I had last week at MD Anderson hospital.
One of my 3 surgeons is a Christian, who prayed with my wife and me.
MD Anderson is a great hospital to come to if you are fighting cancer. People come here from all over the world.
I'm laying in a rehab hospital writing this on my cell phone.
I'll probably go back to PA in about 3 weeks after all my doctor follow up appointments.

God bless you all,
BobY777
