Bob's goal is to create a masterpiece painting, then he'd be rich and famous, although he never attended art school and knows nothing about art. Before he retired, he was a car mechanic.
He is getting tired of it. He has been trying to paint a masterpiece for 50 years already. Everyday, he would get a new canvas and try a different combination of brush strokes on it -- purely random brush strokes but different combination -- totally without any planning, design or concentration whatsoever, sometimes even blindfolded.
He has no luck yet. He is still waiting for his luck. He hopes to achieve something at least as good as a Picasso, if not Van Gogh -- without knowing anything about art. But what actually happened was that the art broker has thrown every single one of his works into the garbage bin.
His friend Paul asked him to give up.
But he replied, "No, no... I believe one day I shall make it..."
Paul: "But how could you possibly create a masterpiece if you never attended art school and know nothing about art ??"
Bob: "That's not entirely true ! A friend of mine, he is an evolutionary scientist, he told me if there were enough time, then it is possible for things to evolve into what they are today, some even got beautiful appearances --- all it took was trying different combinations of ... I forgot what that was called..."
Paul: "Genes ?"
Bob: "yes, exactly, genes... by trying different combinations of genes, even if there is no purpose, no planning, no intelligence and no artistic sense involved --- so, the SAME CAN APPLY TO ME..."
Paul: "But YOU ARE ALREADY 97 ! How much more time do you have ?"
Bob: "Well, I don't know, but I've got faith in my evolutionist friend's ideas... although I saw no evidence whatsoever. My friend is a scientist and I thought all scientists are honest and smart ... "
Paul: "That's ridiculous..."
I'd love the chance to explain to the OP why his perceptions of evolutionary theory are incorrect, but debate is not allowed in this forum. Would you care to discuss in on the main OT board?

* But micro evolution is acceptable for me.

I first chuckled and afterward became somber thinking about the effect the lie of <blank> has had on our society and how seemingly blindly we follow its precepts and accept them as truth.
