Any Bob Ross fans here? I love his work. I watch him paint on his show . . he makes it seem so simple. I like his mountain art the best. What about you guys??

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love Bob Ross! I try to catch his show in syndication when I can. I was so sad when he died. The show is calming to me, Bob's little stories and comments are sweet, and watching the painting develop is just mesmerizing.
I know it sounds kind of corny, but there are some life lessons that can be learned watching his show. Like if you make a mistake, it's ok, you can just turn it into a happy little tree.

I'm a swiss guy who lives in france, and watches tv shows from germany.
On one channel, they show every night a show with bob. I like all his happy little trees and bushes, and seas and clouds. It's really great to see him paint. I sure wish i could do it like him. It's a great show to watch, it's somehow reality tv in a completely different way. It's really sad that he died.
I'm looking for bobs pictures. if you have some floating around on your hd, could you please send them to thejwork@softhome.net

He was an exceptional Artist. He had a talent and loved to use it. I enjoyed watching his shows and sat in awe how fast and easy he made it look.
