Hello everyone
For the last few days i have been trying to effect a change by way of clarification added to the board's faq's. This clarification will give the board a standard which imho, helps to gain ground and bring us back to a good orthodox definition of the word "Christian". Not only will this then effect the definition of what a christian is, but it will also have the effect of not just putting us under a creed, but a board standard of who Jesus is.
Due to the many adverse changes, if we caan win this clarification, i believe that it will provide a standard of protection for the new, the weak, and the unlearned. It will have many benefits imho.
The following is the definition from the faq as it is, BUT, i have bolded and red highlighted one small phrase form it in red, and then in purple i placed the clarification
That is the clarification i propose
the red is the statement existing
the purple is the clarification.
Lets talk about this, and if you wish to join me in the thread i am asking this i here is the link http://foru.ms/showthread.php?p=39250728#post39250728
thoughts?

board standard definition from faq
1. Christian
A Christian, simply put, is a disciple of Jesus Christ:
Acts 11:26 (NIV) "The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch."
To become a Christian, a person should refer to the following Scripture (for more details click here):
John 3:16 (NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Romans 10:9-13 (NIV) "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all. (God is defined in scripture as being Lord over all, the book of Acts acknowledges also that God bought the church with His own blood, therefore Christians believe that Jesus is God), and that He richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.""
Acts 2:38 (NIV) "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
