This kind of embarassing, but I am concerned about it. I would ask that you all be understanding..
In the past months, I have noticed blotchy skin on my body. It first started on my legs, and it looks kind of like a rash there. It has lasted for a long time and is still around. I also have it on my upper chest near my shoulders and a little on my feet. What the heck is going on? Is this normal? Should I see a doctor?

Any doc's out there?
I appreciate your maturity in this matter.

From doing a little research on the web it seems like there can be atleast three different causes for blotchy skin. Sun damage will leave dark discolorations. Hormone alteration can leave uneven skin tone. Allergic reactions are red blotchy spots.

Aging also affects your skin, but it starts to be noticable in middle age men. So, no worries there.

My opinion: If your skin itches or is painful, I'd definately go see a doctor. If it bothers you personally and it seems like it does I'd go see a doctor. It seems like a dermatologist would be the most knowlegable type of doctor to go see.
