I don't think most of the Antifa riots were about police reform, I think they used legitimate protests as an excuse to destroy private property and loot because they knew they could get away with it; and unfortunately most of the city leaders allowed it to happen.
What "Antifa riots" were there? How do you distinguish between BLM protests and "Antifa riots"?
Were the Antifa riots the ones where the Boogaloo Bois tried to burn down a police station? Or discharged firearms into cars and buildings? Or were they the ones where self identified members of the alt-right murdered a police officer? Or the ones where members of various militia movements were charged with a laundry list of firearms offenses? Or the ones where militia movements were charged with deliberately inciting violence?

No Antifa were the ones who barricaded the doors to the police station while people were still inside, and tried to set it on fire. A couple guys were actually charged for that oneWere the Antifa riots the ones where the Boogaloo Bois tried to burn down a police station?
I'm sure they did that tooOr discharged firearms into cars and buildings?
The fact that they were charged should tell you they weren't Antifa, Antifa usually get away with such stuff because the city leaders have the cops stand down while they riotOr were they the ones where self identified members of the alt-right murdered a police officer? Fake news. Those were Antifa and BLM. Projecting their actions onto the Right is dishonest.
There were definitely right-wing agent provocateurs involved in many cases. Saying they don't exist is just as dishonest as saying that they were responsible for 100% of the violence. The answer is between those two extremes.
There's also the fact that these were BLM protests that became riots. The had the signs, chanted the slogans, said that there would be no peace, and then proceeded to inflict mayhem on the cities they lived in.
Like I said, you can't blame the infiltrators for all of the violence, but you can't deny they exist and their actions have been documented.
Fake news. Those were Antifa and BLM. Projecting their actions onto the Right is dishonest.
Nope. All of those are factual, sourced from news articles covering either successful convictions or ongoing prosecutions with guilty pleas.
A pinch of information cures a pound of ignorance.
Yep, there were Antifa bad actors. And idiots using the BLM movement to engage in wanting violence against people and property.
However, to pretend that agent provacateurs weren't present or responsible for some of the most serious incidents during the BLM protest period is to bury ones head in the sand.
Unlike the efforts to reverse the finger with the Capitol riot, there is a legitimate point to be made here.
Not fake news. It wasn't "the right". It was the "far right" and yes, they were destructive. Great example? Umbrella man?Fake news. Those were Antifa and BLM. Projecting their actions onto the Right is dishonest.
You can even make up the idea that a capitol police officer was beaten to death with a flagpole. Doesn't make it true though.
Law enforcement officials initially said Officer Sicknick was struck in the head with a fire extinguisher, but medical experts have said he did not die of blunt force trauma, according to one law enforcement official. Instead, investigators increasingly believe that Officer Sicknick may have been sprayed in the face with mace or bear spray, the official said.
“He returned to his division office and collapsed,” the Capitol Police said in a statement. “He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.”
Well you're right that it wasn't a flagpole.
Yet it was the narrative you guys have been pushing ever since Jan 6th without even knowing the facts.
"You guys"? I don't recall saying any such thing. Furthermore, does the specific murder weapon used change the facts in any relevant way?
Pepper spray, a murder weapon?
Then what "murder weapon" killed nearly everyone else who died? Stress?
Bear spray. A bit stronger. Combined with a blow to the head from a fire extinguisher. Funny how you're trying to excuse the murder.
He didn't die from it alone, but it certainly didn't help him.
It's really amazing that this one police officer's death is the main focus of Jan 6th, and yet the thousands that were injured or killed during last year by LEFT wing extremists are always swept under the rug by the same people who focus on Jan 6th.
At least 25 Americans were killed during protests and political unrest in 2020
