I recently have become a fan of Blindside and am wondering which cd would be better to buy first, Silence or About A Burning Fire?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Blindside fans?

Blindside is pretty good. I'd say whichever one you'd prefer getting, get that one first, otherwise, just get 'em.

Well seeing as I can probably get About A Burning Fire cheaper, I think I'll go for that one...

I agree that they are both EXCELLENT, each in there own way. One of the great things about Blindside is that they are not content to sound the same on every CD.

i miss the self titled album by Blindside. their first album in 1997. that was some good stuff. so was "A Thought Crushed my Mind." King of the closet, that's an awesome song.
now i like silence and about a burning fire. i think they are great albums. but i miss their old stuff a lot.

Thanks guys,m I think I'm gonna pick up About a burning fire today. I can't wait I seriously need some new music...
Edit: Nice cd, some of it is a bit too loud for me, like the last track...and its very deep which I like!

The only tracks I don't really like would be "Hooray, Its LA" and "Swallow". I don't really understand the need for using damned on "Hooray, Its LA" either...I understand its used in context but it doesn't seem to fit the song..

I was at my local Christian book/recordstore the other day, and I couldn't find any Blindside stuff at all. Too bad, but I guess I'll just go back there later and ask them again.
