  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Here's how it'll work: send 100 blessings (or just post here that you will; I'll make sure all the blessings sent to me will be posted here) and you get one ticket to the lottery. You can buy as many tickets as you want. All the blessings for this purpose will be stored and whoever wins the drawing gets the points! I'll add some points in to make the jackpot higher (but I can't win).

If people vote that they want there to be two prizes or more rather than one big one, that's fine. But otherwise there's only one big prize (all the blessings people put in).

Please don't get confused! It's the same as a normal lottery except with blessings not money, and you have to trust me (or just post your contribution and you better give those blessings away if you don't win). Not confusing at all, right?

lol what an act of faith! Yeah, we an leave the pot open for 10 minutes or ten years... whatever works. So far there are 300, I think it'd be fun to let it get huge.
