Bless others, put in the bank, buy a pet, feed pet, make an avatar, that is all I can think of at the moment. To bless someone use the bless link next to their amount of blessings or use the heart and cross icon by their username.

No you don’t have to use real money or buy blessings.
There is an option to purchase blessings, but I don’t think it is used by many or any people now.
