  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It just means that it has been consecrated for a specific purpose. I think of it like this...a Rosary (prayer) prayed on unblessed beads is just as powerful as one prayed on blessed, BUT a blessed Rosary (sacramental) is like carrying around a continuous prayer. It carries Grace with it, like a prayer offered unceasingly. Does that make sense?

I make Rosaries and about everytime I've had them blessed (our group who makes them has each blessed as a matter of course), the priests (yes there have been different ones) all use a prayer that the PERSON who uses the article is blessed.

So I could probably take a box with all my crucifixes and statues :)

You could. Or, you could invite him over to your house one day (for lunch or dinner even, if possible) and have him bless everything in (and including) your house. :)
