How much is it monthly (fee)? Are you charged for every call?

It runs off of the Boost Mobile network, which is Sprint I think. Expect to pay $40 a month for unlimited US texting & calling and 2GB of data.

if you are going prepaid, you should get Verizon. 50 dollars a month and I get 5 gb of data with unlimited talk/text. and my unused data rolls over.

Buy an iPhone! It'll last you years and years! Hyuck hyuck hyuck!

Not so sure about that. That was my philosophy up until Steve Jobs died and a month ago pretty much sealed that impression.

The phone isn't broken, but I am thinking I am going to have to replace my battery after about 2 years of use. which is disappointing. I am hoping it is the battery. I am tried recalibration, but the phone dies at random percentages. My phone was jailbroken, and for a long time I blamed the issues I was having on that (I was out of warranty anyway). But I finally got fed up and restored factory firmware and the problem persists.

ugh. But hopefully 45 dollars will give my iPhone another 2 years of life.

I hate to be a conspiracy theorist...but I have an iPhone 6 which I got almost two years ago too...and over the last month or so I started having problems...my last iPhone lasted about two years too before it had issues...I'm beginning to think they build them to only last that long so you have to buy a new one...

But, I agree that it didn't used to be that way...I had the first generation iPhone for probably 4 years, and would have had it longer had it not accidentally gone for a ride in the washing machine...lol

I bought a new LG Stylo 2 phone and boy, is it fast for my needs, and great. The 2GB RAM makes it fast. It also includes stylus.

Buy it from Best Buy if you get one though. It's only $100 there.

I'm so glad that you like your new phone.

I'm moving out of my parents' house tomorrow so I need to get a new phone.

I'm gonna choose a Verizon Wireless prepaid plan so that I don't get any monthly bills.

Personally, I love Motorola phones because of the super long battery life so I'm gonna buy a Motorola Moto G Play for 85 dollars

Yeah I agree. since the death of Steve Jobs... everything seems to go downhill. I've been waiting for a decent MacBook Pro to be released because my 13" 2011 model is getting old. It is still working. I upgraded the RAM (something that can no longer be done :() but I would like something new.

I got tired of waiting for Apple to release a decent laptop so I bought an Asus... then returned it. and then I bought a Dell... and then returned it. I don't have a problem with Windows. I use Windows for my desktop and would use nothing else (except perhaps linux).
My issue with laptops is that the MacBook Pro's touch pad has spoiled me. It is so flawless that I can't use a windows touch pad. they stink. they aren't smooth, the multi gestures are inaccurate, don't work well... bah!

as for milking me... meh. I worked in a tech store so I have seen it from all sides. Apple used to stand for quality, now they are just like everyone else.
The most important point is to be able to do the repairs yourself. though that is becoming more difficult with time... I am holding on to this 6 as long as possible.

I had a 2010 Macbook Pro that I just upgraded about three months ago...I waffled on which one to get to upgrade...I think the touchbar feature on the latest one is cool, but how practical is it? Then there's the issue of USB ports...there aren't any! That killed it for me, but I really needed a new computer since I'm starting a business and the other one is so slow and outdated...I ended up going with last year's model of MacBook Pro...so far I like it, not much difference between it and my previous one as far as user friendliness, a little lighter, a little thinner, but a heck of a lot faster, and I love the retina display. My only complaint is that I like the keyboard on the old one better...this one feels more clunky.

I refuse to get the touchbar. I feel it is too expensive and is just a gimmick. If my computer died, then I would have no choice... but my 2011 is strong enough to hold me over to see what this year's model looks like.

Good thinking. If I had to get a new laptop today, I would go with the previous year's model as well. I don't want to pay an extra 400 dollars for a gimmick. I played with the the previous model, and it was good. I really liked the synaptic feedback. at first I was scared because I thought it was broken before I learned what it was. but the hardware just wasn't upgraded enough for me to keep it.

I wonder if yours had the old style butterfly keys that everyone was praising the new one for bringing back... meh. the trackpad is the most important part of the laptop for me. if this years model is a flop, I may still go back and get the early 2016 model. the upgraded ram only seems to have delayed the my need for about a year and half or so. I am starting to feel my laptop begin to slow down again.
before I replaced the ram it was taking like 15 minutes to boot and it would lock of a lot. those days are returning.

It's definitely too expensive. I paid $1100 for this one, and the one with the touchbar was $1600, IIRC. And, yeah, it's a gimmick and nothing more.

Maybe it had the butterfly keys? I'm not sure. I do know that when I played around with the new one in the store the keys definitely felt more like my old one.

Having said all that, still better than the HP laptop I had in my last corporate job. :D
