Blessed Divine Mercy Sunday to all celebrating/practicing this devotion today! If you haven't read St. Faustina's diary yet, I highly recommend it! Our God is so, so good.

As we do every year, we watched the Mass and Divine Mercy Celebration from
the National Shrine of Divine Mercy from Stockbridge, MA.

Today marks 30 years that EWTN has been broadcasting the celebration and 40 years
since the shrine has begun to observance of Mercy Sunday.

My wife and myself have been to the shrine at Stockbridge several times. The design
and woodwork of the chapel was done by an Italian immigrant who was a cabinet maker
and donated his talents in creating the awesome woodwork in the chapel.

Divine Mercy is one of my favorite devotions and I try to pray the Chaplet every day.

Starting on the evening of this past Good Friday, the Divine Mercy Shrine live streamed and prayed the Novena and the Chaplet for the 9 days and I was able to pray with them every day.

This morning at Mass, at the foot of the altar was a large image of Divine Mercy surrounded by flowers. Father told us who Sr. Faustina was, explained her diary, the devotion and the symbolism in the image. This afternoon at 3 pm in the Church, they prayed the Chaplet and had Benediction/Adoration. Sadly, even though I wanted to, I couldn’t attend because of my bad, painful knees and other concerns.

Instead, I prayed/sang the Chaplet at 3 pm which was shown on the Divine Mercy youtube channel and am now watching and listening to the live streamed Mass from the Shrine.
