  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Blessed are...

Let's list one verse where the Bible speaks of who is blessed. There are a lot of them, let's try to find them all. :)

I'll start. Of course, it will have to be from Ps 119.

Psalms 119:1ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

A few translations of Psalm 89:15:

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. (Psalm 89:15, KJV)

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD . (Psalm 89:15, NIV)

Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship,
for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD. (Psalm 89:15, NLT)

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the people who know the joyful sound [who understand and appreciate the spiritual blessings symbolized by the feasts]; they walk, O Lord, in the light and favor of Your countenance! (Psalm 89:15, AMP)

Blessed are the people who know the festal shout,
who walk, O LORD, in the light of your face (Psalm 89:15, ESV)
