I give others 15 minutes leeway. If they are up to 15 minutes early or late, they are on time.

If they are 15-30 minutes early or late, they are early or late.

But if they are over 30 minutes early, they came at the wrong time. And if they are over 30 minutes late, they aren't coming.

WHAT? Can you repeat that?

No, I've had people come an hour late - and then not even apologize. My supper was ruined and so was my normally pleasant demeaner (ask my husband)...!!!

If they are an hour late without notification, they will find that 30 minutes before their arrival I assumed that they were not coming and left/ate/whatever would be appropriate if I had received notice that they could not make it.
