I was wondering what the Catholic Church believes about black magic. That is, the potential for a man to call upon some power and induce thunderstorms, cancer in someone else, a change of one's fortune, etc. Also, if such a thing is possible, would it be a requirement that this man has previous knowledge of some deity, or could he begin praying to something of his own creation, say, "Ula Kushee?" (just an example)
