  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Let's just get rid of the twenty million introduction posts that its gonna take, save the boredom from killing this RP... and just write Christine quietly, shyly, awkwardly into your post in a town or something. Would that work?

The only thing is... you see, she can't really touch skin to skin with anyone. That's the only thing she got when she came into Bittersweet. So... maybe, when you do some brief little sentence about picking her up, I'll write next saying she picked up some gloves after a bad encounter or something.... *shrug*

Sry, my mind is so sleep deprived right now... I don't know if anything I'm writing makes sense or if I'm just rambling... so just... maybe just nod your head and smile or something, hm? lol

Alright. Sounds good. If you have any objections Fire, just say so.

The reason why I'm rushing this is because I really don't want this one to die. The Second Saga and this one are my two biggest rpgs, and this one I have spent the most time in. Hopefully we can figure this out.

Lets say that the party starts in the town. It is a normal, medieval town. Umm Bree anyone? And let's say that Koruji, Jeff, Alice, Ken, and Roran all went in, as planned, just missing where Christine appeared. Let's say that Casimir, Giana, and Lilianna eventually made up their minds, went outside and found nothing, and then decided to go north on a lucky guess. Roran has stopped the party in the town square.

Casimir, Giana, and Lilianna will start a couple hundred feet from the square and will come on in and spot Roran's group. Christine, on the other hand, will come in the same way, and can accidentally touch Roran. Maybe she trips walking by him and he tries to catch her hand, or whatever. I'll leave that up to you, Fire.

How does this all sound to everyone?

Alright, guys, the time has come. There is a new rule going into place.

If you do not reply in three days, your character becomes an NPC until you post again. If the character remains an NPC for too long, it may be killed off. However, if you PM me or say in one of the threads that you will not be on for a time, we can work something out. Furthermore, this three day limit does not count the weekends, and special things that will be announced, such as major holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.) and the days around them.

If anybody finds this rule a little harsh, we can still bend it. It is just an idea. Tell me your opinions.

Um.. let's say that they don't post in thread or OOC. I know there may be times when Kevin just won't be there because he'll be doing other things, which means there won't be anywhere for me to post.

Also, I'm a bit confused about Christine's power. Does she get the powers of the person she touches? And does that hurt the person she touches? Or, was it just because she touched Ken that she drained him? Ken's power is to drain people's energy to heal himself simply by touching them.

are you serious? whoops... I guess that's what I'll do then. It originally was gonna be a power that helped her if she was tired or hurt, but I guess it'll end up being like Rogue, where she does pick up others' powers. Unless... thats still too close to Ken's?

If all else fails, I'll just do a quick adjustment to her, like nothing happened before. Sorry

Well, I think it would be neat if she copied other people's powers, but only one at a time, and she can keep that power indefinitely, or maybe she could be like Kevin and not be able to control when she picks up (or loses) a power. Also, it would be better, I think, if it did not hurt that person when she copied it, that way it's less like Rogue from X-men.
But that's me, and she's your character, so it's up to you. I hope that it gives you some ideas, though.

oh, or maybe, it only hurts her, not them! Like, it healed her ankle because she picked up his power, but it hurt her in the process. So, instead of punishing others, it punishes her.

Okay. Should I change my post or just adjust it from here on...?

That is exactly what makes Rogue so interesting. She can't really love anyone because she has to be careful even hugging someone. I feel sorry for Gambit...lol

Oh and I shall be over soon to check out the IC thread. And btw, Shadow, yes OOC posts do count toward the required posts. All I ask is activity.
