• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So, it's my birthday and i;m now 20.

Not feeling good, why is it always important times when i feel the worst, i want to hurt myself, i'm thinking worse things but wouldn't actaully take things that far.

I just want someone to listen, someone who understands and cares. Some one who can help, i want to back at uni where i can get help without family being around.

Happy B-day katylees!

Why do you feel bad in important times? Because the enemy wants to rob you of joy and happiness. Let 's hate, hate, and hate the enemy.

I just read this and am quoting it here.

just pray to Him for there is GREAT power in prayer! Merry Christmas.
Father, restore in katylees the joy that the enemy robbed from her. Amen.

Merry Christmas to you, katylees!

i think at birthdays and other important dates like that, emotions are running higher and you are more likely to reflect on your life. If a person tends to have a low outlook or view on their life, they are then more likely to look for something that has helped them in the past, like self harm. plus the issues that have caused the self harm in the first place are more likely to seem bigger at times like that. Look to the Lord for your strength!

Happy Christmas and may God bless you richly!
