My wife and I picked up a book on Biomimicry at the creation museum just recently.

It is a fascinating read, and a testament to God in nature.

Here's just one example of how it works from answers.com:

As God said:

Pr 6:6 ¶ Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Pr 30:24 ¶ There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.

We need to thank God for our scientists who discover these things in nature; making our lives better.

Pr 25:2 ¶ It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Notice here how the Bible equates [true] scientists with kings?

Interestingly arent ants considered as one of the strongest creatures on the planet?

Other then that though i like these examples. If you got any more keep them coming.
I do not quite understand what is meant with the spider though.
I'll post a few for you, from the book.

I'll post a few for you, from the book.

Here's an example:

A single fossil of the flying reptile Sharovipteryx mirabilis was found in Kyrgyzstan some years ago. The creature was about eight inches long, and had an unusual wing structure. Today flying vertebrates, including birds and flying squirrels, have wings or membranes attached to their front limbs. Reconstruction of the fossil, however shows the wings attached to the hind limbs in a delta-wing pattern.

...

Delta-wing aircraft, including the Eurofighter Tphoon jet, are designed similiar to the fossil lizard. The delta wing allows high-speed performance while maintaining maneuverability. Both the fossil lizard and modern aircraft also have small triangular wing structures up front. On aircraft, this forward wing is called the "canard", and it allows slower and safer landing speeds.

From the book, Discovery of Design, by Donald DeYoung & Derrick Hobbs, p. 62.

Interesting. Does it also mention about how the Delta-wing aircraft's design team incorporated studies on the Sharovipteryx mirabilis for its design or is it pointing out nature did it first?

Yes we have learned much from nature, including evolution which we mimic by using genetic algorithms in engineering and the use of directed evolution to develop better enzymes to be used as catalysts in chemical synthesis.

Directed evolution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Would love to try this out but too busy with other projects

You really need to take your own advice, before giving advice to others. I do not see how you "thank God" for scientists, while using "SCIENCE CAN TAKE A HIKE," as your beloved mantra.

Notice here how the Bible equates [true] scientists with kings?
Which of us are "true" scientists, AVET? Those who do not contradict your interpretation of scripture?

From the book, Discovery of Design, by Donald DeYoung & Derrick Hobbs, p. 62.[/quote]

1. A canard is different than a "delta wing". The Typhoon is not a delta wing. For that you need the Mirage 5 or the old Delta Dagger. Those are true delta wing designs.

2. If this wing is such a good design, AV, then why is Sharovipteryx mirabilis extinct? You supposedly have God making a design that is superior to birds but then the creature is extinct? Why did God let such a good design go extinct? Wasn't Sharovipteryx mirabilis on the Ark? If it was, why is it extinct now? If it wasn't on the Ark, why not?

If there was no Ark, then you have the problem of God not being able to make good enough designs to last.

Perhaps it was hunted to extinction?

By whom? According to the post, it's too small to make a good food animal for humans. Again, if it was such a good design, shouldn't the bird have been able to use the delta wing to avoid predators? Birds do.
