  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess I'm not sure what you mean exactly.

I'm a fan of doing things quietly if possible. I remember someone having said something that was written in some important book sometime something about not letting your one hand knowing what your other hand is doing. I am only one person, so doing something quietly works. Making a fuss puts up walls that are harder to break down. That might be what works for some people, but since I'm not a fan of building fortresses over communication it isn't my style. The fuss should be in your back pocket. It shouldn't be your first move. Because if it is, there's only one direction things can go and that's not a direction I can let myself go. It goes against who I am at my core. That's the sort of thing that makes me cry.

Doing it silently makes everyone more receptive to hearing each other. I like to discuss, not debate. I like to understand, not demand. But I also see the world in a beautiful rose color and believe deep down, we're all good people. Sometimes we just need a little push to believe in ourselves.

I don't play them regularly. I keep trying to convince my friends to have a game night, but they keep backing out boo. I like Cranium best.

Freshwater types. In my bedroom is a little take with Boo Radley my betta. In the living room is a little tank with Atticus, Finch, Jack and Donut Hole. In the office is my 20 gallon tank with a handful of fish, none of whom have names right now.
