  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been trying to walk at least 3 times a week. Last night was going to be my second walk for the week, but the oldest mancub didn't want to go. So, the youngest mancub rode his bike up and down our sidewalk (2 houses past in each direction) while I would stay behind then run to catch up to him and "chase" him. He squealed with delight over Mommy trying to get him and Mommy got some decent sprints in.

Oh - and I wore another pair of pants that I haven't fit into for a while...and got hit on twice this week.

Well, I suppose I need to start again. I have learned that my weight loss claims wree inaccurate. I am 5'8, now weighing 172. It was not the 162 I had found myself to be at previously, and I believe I must have unintentionally braced myself against furniture in the bathroom when that measurement was taken. Nonetheless, it does represent an 11 pound drop from last winter.

I also have a 35" waist. Both of those figures I want to reduce. I would eventually like to be at 155 lbs. with a 33 inch waist. I virtually eliminated my intake of white flour over the past four days, and have cut back substanitailly on sweets. I am obviously still being too sedentary for the moment, but tomorrow I will be signing up for the orientation session for the weight room in the gym on campus.

Since wrestling season started, I am getting more exercise. I walk/jog while they are doing their warm-ups. Then, I usually jump in to the live wrestling to get the bigger kids some work. It's actually kind of fun tossing them on their head as well.

I'm down 2 more lbs since the last time I posted. I haven't been able to exercise as much lately b/c of other obligations - but my schedule should be opening up more so I can get some more cardio in. I think I'm going to buy myself some rollerblades for Christmas.

I've pretty much plateaued..... weird, I thought chasing my tail at work would be all the exercise I needed.



My friend and I are planning on joining a yoga class.....I could use more zen, not to mention, flexibility in my life.

ran three miles tonight, took it easy. In the morning I will be running 12 miles before all the Thanksgiving gluttony,to ensure that I don't become rolley poley (sp.?)

A long Thanksgiving morning run has been a personal Thanksgiving tradition for me every year. go big or go home.

Bah Humbug! My junior high school weight room was better equipped than the one on my university campus. All it has for cardio exercises is a treadmill.

I joined Ballys. My friend and I are going every Mon Wed and Fri morning after our shift. She paid extra for a trainer but I've been working a long time. I know where my trouble spots are and how to get rid of them
