  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Maybe make sure you intake 1300 calories to be safe? And increase that if you continue to lose more than 2 pounds per week. BTW, the 90 minutese 5+ days a week is really impressive. That has been the goal I have been working towards for years, and I have never made it.

Wow! Thanks for the encouragement! I have had issues with commitment since my husband passed away 3 years ago, but this year I decided....I've just gotta do it. So on January 1st I joined the gym, hired a personal trainer for 1 day a week, and the only time I haven't gone is when I was really really sick. I went even when I was sick, but not when it was so bad and in my ears. But other than that I've stuck to it. Kind of afraid not to, plus I enjoy it and I feel better about myself. AND I'm finally starting to see little cuts in my arms thru the fat lol. Hopefully by the time I turn 50 next year I'll be smokin' hot lol. Thanks for all your advice and encouragement.

Don't way yourself every day, btw, as there are natural variation due to all kinds of factors. Better to way yourself once a week at the same day and time (and try to do the same stuff in the 12 hours or so preceding the weigh in). I never really followed this advice, but a lot of weightloss people make it.

I am going to do heavy core exercises again today, I am aiming to do 400 lbs for squats. Also will do some benchpresses and deadlifts (just did these for the first time on Monday, I am not too great at them just doing 90 lbs).

I usually weigh myself twice a day (AM/PM) then get a range and a 5 day moving average and try to lower the range and track progress that way.

The daily stuff can be rough for some people, but that once a week bit makes no sense to me because I'm not looking for a week to week change, more like an overall trend.

Based on the way I'm doing that, when we started this thread I was around 224, now I'm in a range of 218-221.

My next goal is to be in a range of 215-218 in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, where has Coach been? It's been like, really, really windy around here, I hope he didn't blow away.


(Btw, really really windy in OK= Hurricane force winds. If Coach were here, he could back me up)

Well, I took a trip to the ER on Friday night.

Kidney Stone number 4. This one is between 2 and 3 mm.

So I had nothing but an I-V, water, juice and vicodin from dinner on Friday up until lunch on Sunday.

I'm sure I lost a pound in there soemwhere.
