I really hate the idea that candidates "steal" votes. People should feel free to vote for who they want to be president, not feel pressured to vote for the lesser of two evils. The whole wasted vote thing is just a way to prevent people from voting for third parties.

That being said, I don't think I'll be voting for Nader. I don't know who I want for president anymore as my top 2 choices have dropped out...

I agree with what your saying in principle, but in reality those third parties don't have a chance of winning. It kind of forces the choice of the lesser of two evils on people.

I think that if they didn't have to work harder then the Ds and Rs to get on ballots, the media gave them equal attention and didn't treat them like a joke, and if they were allowed to participate in presidential debates, they'd be a lot bigger contenders. People are just hesitant to vote when they feel like it's a waste...

Your probably right, but what are you going to do? I don't see anything happen where the third parties are going to be taken serious by the media. I myself like a lot of what Ron Paul is saying, but I know he isn't going win. I'll probably end up voting for Obama. I don't like everything he's saying, but hey, lesser of two evils right.

I'm gonna keep voting for third candidates :p Last election I voted for a Green Party for Governor. In Utah. He got like 800 votes, but I'd still rather have voted for him then the Dem. candidate.

Yeah, like I said I'm not voting for him either. Though I am using him as a source on a paper I'm writing on the issue :p

If you are going to vote third party, you should vote for the Constitution party.

The Constitution party is pro-life pro-marriage pro-family pro-Christianity and pro-God.
Constitution party? they must support free speech (including indecent), privacy (including sexual and reproductive), equality for all (including homosexuals), and separation of church and state. Right?

Will Obama be able to keep McCain and NAder awake during the debates?

Nader will take votes from a liberal, but which one?
Liberal McCain or Liberal Obama, or liberal Clinton.

All runners lean to the left, just how far to the left do you want to go?

Would it be
(left wing)Clinton Obama Nader McCain(Moderate)
Or would Nader be on the other side of a candidate?
