The president said he told his staff members that he needs to get more sleep and lamented not listening to them about his schedule, a person who attended the meeting told the New York Times.
At one point in the meeting, Gov. Josh Green (D-HI) asked Biden questions about his health, prompting the president to respond that he was fine.
“It’s just my brain,” he said, according to the outlet.

Who knew? It wasn't a cold at all, simply a matter of getting a bit more sleep.

Sounds like Biden is now in it for the duration of the campaign.

His last campaign was spent mostly in his basement and it worked. Looks like a winning strategy to use again.

Never mind that fellow you saw in the debate. Biden is, was, and will always be 'sharp as a tack'. Except when he's not.

Apparently he had attended the G7, visited the Normandy gravesite (and actually walked over to the graves, and would have walked over even if it was raining, I'm sure). Met with the president of Italy, went back and forth traveling through nine and eleven time zones right before the debate.

I have traveled to Japan and Korea, and know how bad jet lag can be (although it would be considerably more comfortable on a private jet.)

It is not easy being a working president and campaigning at the same time, not if you do your job well (as he has done.)

Ooh, what were your favorite place(s) in Japan and Korea? The jet lag sounds like torture, cos the furthest I have been was +8 hours ahead from my timezone, and the jet lag was bad. I can not imagine +14 hours of jet lag, or anything > +8 hours.

I would like to visit Tokyo one day in the future, see the old city and ride the bullet train.

He had 9 days to recover. He still had jet lag after all that time? It just looks desperate now to try to make excuses for him. What we saw at the debate is what we have been seeing for the last 3 years and it has been labeled propaganda, cheap fake and deep fake videos and what have you. He wasn’t able to hide it at the debate and you’re no longer able to make excuses.for him

When I started my apprenticeship, over 40 years ago, one of the old timers would say "if you're going to run with the big dogs, better learn to (go to the bathroom) in the high weeds"

For myself, after a long flight, jet lag lasts < 3 days. For Joe, if we give him grace, maybe 5 days. A good rule of thumb for jet lag, is to divide the number of time zones by half. For instance, if Joe experienced 10 hour difference of time, then it should take him 5 days to recover, not 9 days, according to WebMD.
