Welp, different people, different interpretations. After re reading his post, I stand by what I said. Perhaps he meant something different, but it didnt read that way.
What blunder was made? This seems to have been a major blunder by Biden's team.
Racism and bigotry, hatred and darkness seem to be a unifying factor against the light that Biden brings. The Woke agenda is what unites opposition against him and blinds them to more serious matters.
Trump loves to unite the darkness. Look everyone Biden is saying we should come together and support each other. Pfft, I say we should hate the gays, hate the trans, join me and we can attack minorities. As well as Mexicans and Muslims. Hate unites. He has given a clear piece of ammunition to Trump which can be used with deadly effect.
Trump loves to feed on the bigotry and conspiracies of his fan base, that's for sure. The perception here, as with the QAnon conspiracy theory is that a Democrat president is the puppet of mad Satan-worshipping perverts. 'It does not have to be true to have a real impact' is the way Trump thinks.
It is about the same as sacrificing a pig on the altar in the Jewish temple.
Eww, so sorry for you. Not nice to have stuff like this stuffed into your face! They are shoving in your face transgenderism all days.
Flags are horrible things, no one should ever have to look at a freaky, scary flag, with colours and shapes, just waving about in the wind. So horrible. They have a month, with flags all over like everyone knows,
Fourth of July perhaps. Maybe it should be illegal to fly flags on special national days.they don't celebrate any national event this way,
Do Christians have a special flag? If flags aren't made illegal, maybe Christians could create their own flag and start flying that on their special days?not religion,
Degeneracy? Where?or nothing else, but degeneracy has a whole month.
I was thinking it, but haven't said it.And before someone start saying i am hater
Oh, great, that's a relief.i am not
Wouldn't want to have to repent. Hate repenting.if i start hating specific people i need to repent.
LOL, we found a loophole. Hating things that I think is wrong doesn't count as hate. Hating people I think are doing wrong things isn't hating people.Disliking something wrong is acceptable,
Don't you just hate that. People keep accusing you of bein a bigot and a hater, but when you hate it is hating wrong people and that's not hating at all. So there!but these people think that disagreeing with them is hating them.
My social conditioning is raised atheist. I don't tend to think in religious terms such as blasphemy.I think social conditioning is a better explanation of you two lining up with similar reactions than any actual theological basis, but I’m no sociologist or psychologist.
I think at least on some level, blasphemy requires the intent to offend or disregard or disrespect God and in this case, we have an established tradition of this president making this proclamation on this specific date every year since his inauguration but we only have one single instance of this lining up with Easter Sunday.
Should the president have simply skipped his annual tradition of recognizing trans visibility day on March 31 just to avoid potentially offending some Christians who likely weren’t big fans of him already?
Unless trans day is going to take up celebrations by gifting and eating lots of chocolate, I don't think anyone needs to worry about the Christian version of Easter being replaced anytime soon. There has been a history of renaming holidays recently, Columbus Day, Washington's Birthday
It is reasonable to assume this was a tryout to see how the replacement of Easter with Trans Day would go.
That is how most people viewed the "intent to offend or disregard."
In light of recent renaming holidays after a few tryouts, then officially it was most probably very intentional.
You owe me a new sarcasm meter.Eww, so sorry for you. Not nice to have stuff like this stuffed into your face!

No need to repent, no hate to be seen here. Yay!

I'm doing this course recently where it is teaching me to acknowledge people's feewings rather than to poopoo them. You owe me a new sarcasm meter.
Is it too late to get a refund?I'm doing this course recently where it is teaching me to acknowledge people's feewings rather than to poopoo them.
Just acknowledge how they feel, sympathise, empathise.
I'm not very good at it yet, but practice makes perfect.
I think there's enough already.Im ok with the state recognizing in a non-compulsory way the various holy or important days of the worlds religions.
It does bring up the question of where do you draw the line. Does every little religion or spiritual tradition deserve recognition? Are little ones less deserving, less real, than the big ones?
It is not reasonable to assume that this was a trial run to replace Easter with anything. March 31st has been Transgender Visibility Day for 15 years. Next year it will be on March 31 again but Easter will not. And all this made up controversy will be completely forgotten. My social conditioning is raised atheist. I don't tend to think in religious terms such as blasphemy.
That is why I particularly noted a mainline Protestant with the same instant reaction

but is it really blue...If Trump said the sky was blue, the knee jerk Trump haters would say "he lies."
That is irrelevant.
The fact remains that Trump is Presbyterian.
From what I have read on the Catholic threads on the forum, the Catholics have much the same reaction.
Really there is a day specially for de-transitioners and it's March 12? We learn everyday don't we? See you just prove my point because I was not aware of it. The US president should really get on it. Make that day as important as the trans visibility day. More speeches and performative allyship. We don't want the de-transitioners to feel left out. Since they are already a minority of a minority. And minorities must be boosted in the "unjust" western society. That one was on March 12th. But of course you already knew that and honored it instead of just bringing it up to snipe at the opposing side.
The silent majority? That is the push back from the silent majority.
