Biden plan to house aliens in National Parks at taxpayer expense meets resistance

Look, I understand the "aliens, strangers, and foreigners" passages in the Scriptures. I understand the need for compassion. I know the Church's social teachings on this topic.

But how long can we keep this up? More than six million illegal aliens in three years? And no place to put them? Given the state of our economy right now, our ship of state is having a hard time staying afloat as it is; how many more should we take on? Are we expected to just bring in more and more and more people until the ship sinks? What good will that do for anybody? Us, them, the world?

Now Biden wants to build "temporary shelters" in the National Parks, heaven save us, to house these people, and pay for their upkeep with taxpayer funds. All I can see happening with this is a more or less permanent 3rd-world slum in every camp they build, the destruction of some of our most beautiful natural sites, and hordes of unassimilated, unemployed, non-English speaking foreigners sponging off the backs of the Americans who are struggling as it is to deal with ever-increasing inflation. And in the meantime, the Parks become degraded; the economy becomes ever more strained, and absolutely nothing is done for our own disadvantaged homeless citizens, such as veterans, the elderly, the mentally ill, etc.

If Joe and his pack of circus clowns want to spend Federal money on these people, don't spend it building shelters. Spend it by leasing a fleet of cargo container ships, load these people aboard, and send them back where they came from.

There. I've said it. I know it makes me a horrible person, a racist, a bigot, a whatever they want to call me. But I don't see how we can go on just bringing more and more people in here when we're rapidly losing the ability to take care of the ones we've got.

If Trump did this the complaint would be that he was setting up concentration camps. There would be spittle flecked nutties by people complaining about racism.

Our National Parks have rules and regulations .. one being a "stay limit" Park campgrounds have limits on how long you can camp there.

The intent of our National Parks is for the enjoyment of the park for a limited stay .... not to house migrants .... if this happens it will ruin our parks for our enjoyment. It will be disastrous and sickening.

I quite agree, but what can I say? I think that it's becoming eminently clear that nobody is actually running this country....stuff goes on, and nothing is done about it, it just continues. Nobody's in charge. The ship is wallowing in the waves and three sheets loose, but there's no captain at the helm, or even any senior mates; we're just being driven by the current towards a whirlpool of oblivion, and the erstwhile organs of what used to be a government are all too busy chasing butterflies around the deck to bother taking care of the wheel.

And jeepers----here's an article this morning where the author says exactly the same thing I did above!!! I'm not the only one who thinks nobody's minding the store! Amazing!

Joe Biden does not know where he is going (both literally and figuratively. Watch him trying to find his way off a stage!) and every policy road he is taking America down is a dead end and does not accomplish what he has promised it would.

Americans increasingly know this. See this. Sense this. The nation feels as if it is off balance and dangerous, while the world seems chaotic and ablaze. It feels aimless, like a boat adrift, being batted about by every wave. No rudder. No steering. No direction. The wheel is spinning, and our culture, society, and opportunity are swirling. We feel jerked about, seeing dangerous rocks approaching, but helpless to course correct. So, we watch in fear. Feeling helpless. Victims of a broken system whose architects appear to not care about our safety, security, prosperity, or future.
