  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There is a great website for book lovers, that allows you to catalogue your books and find others who have the same interests. The site is Library thing.

The site is free, but it can also be joined for a small fee. I've started to list my books there, but still have a long way to go. I am Cajun Hughenot there as well.

Coram Deo,
Kenith

I suppose it would only make sense to document books you actually have, eh? 'Cause my bookshelf is a rotating deal... I buy books from Powell's, read them, sell them back or give them away depending on condition, and buy more, and so on and so forth. Also, the library is my friend.

Do I count? lol

It looks like you can post whatever books you want to post. You could even tag your lists "Library Books I've Read", "Books I Own", "Books I've Rotated Back To Powell's"...and even "Books I Want to Read"!!

Wow, that certainly does add a lot, but also increases the time involved doesnt it?
I'm almost finished but noticed there are books missing that I"ve loaned out! I hope they return home!
I dont think I could rotate them around as I'm pretty obsessive-compulsive with books. They're family, most are heavily marked! Perhaps thats not good as it does put an end to their lifetime use by anyother than me.

I would suggest you get The Sovereignty of God by A.W. Pink, read, underline and keep it forever! Dont ever rotate it back to Powell's as it is definitely a keeper!

As you said you've likely read many that cant be put on librarything shelf but you've learned from them nevertheless!

When I last moved I took all books that werent 'reformed' to the used book store and I now only have reformed books, except for a few on grief, or cooking!

Such fun to build a library!
