Whoops I just saw that a thread like this already exists.

I grew up with the KJV, and still like it; the Psalms in particular!

We used the NKJV in Church for a number of years, so I switched, It's good also. The Church now uses ESV, and It's very good as well (I switched again).

I grew up with TLH, with the Liturgies in the KJ English. We use Divine service Three quite often in the new hymnal, which retains the old English. I think it would be kinda cool to use the KJV when we use that service, but again, I'm familiar with it; many are not. Shakespear used to be taught extensivley in our High Schools; it still is here because of our Stratford Festival, but in other places, not so much.

Botom line is that it's the Theology that matters, not the language, as long as faithful translations are used, the Spirit works through God's Holy Word!
