  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Juelrei,

I have not seen this Connect idea before please give me a bit more explanation of the process that you have in mind.
The idea is to have a topic connection between any two verses. It can be taken from anyone else who has made a Biblically sound connection, or it can be one of your own.

The following is concerning pastors.. preachers.

Verse

Ephes.6:19 "and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel."

Connect

Jer.3:15 "Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding."

In a previous connection, the verse used the words "father" and "mother".. but I didn't think of it as simply some young boy being old enough to acknowledge his parents.. but I saw it as the boy being old enough to begin training in knowledge of verses, such as seeing God's Word as parental instruction.

As we do when we read and see "my son, attend to my Word, incline your ears to my sayings.."

Juelrei,

I see the objective it is to find two verses in the Bible connected by a topic.

Yes I will give that a try. It is a chance to link bits of the Bible by topic from memory
